At transport company Van Duijn, efficiency and reliability are key words. When the battery of the refrigeration unit does not maintain sufficient voltage, this poses risks for the transport of chilled or frozen products. That is why our specially developed auxiliary charger solution was chosen: as soon as a tractor is connected, the battery of the refrigeration unit is automatically charged and kept at the correct voltage level.

It works as follows: when the tractor is connected, the auxiliary loader is powered. From that moment on, the cooling machine battery is actively charged and kept at the correct level. Thanks to the galvanic separation, the tractor battery remains completely separate from the cooling machine battery.

The installation time is very manageable: approximately 45 minutes per charger on average. The system requires hardly any extra work and delivers immediate benefits: less downtime due to empty batteries, less risk of product loss and a reliable transport chain, which is exactly what Van Duijn stands for.

Why this solution?

  • Direct contribution to higher reliability in refrigerated transport
  • Automatic charging of the cooling machine battery when connected
  • Galvanic isolation prevents accidental discharge of the tractor battery
  • Quick and efficient to install (approx. 45 minutes)

Customer response (Van Duijn):

“As specialists in refrigerated and frozen transport, it is extremely important to us that the refrigeration system works immediately upon arrival and is not delayed by a flat battery. Thanks to this auxiliary charger solution, we have much more certainty in this regard.”
