LEMAN achieves TAPA TSR 1 certification

Jan Rørby Wiitanen, Business Development manager at LEMAN Pharma Road & Healthcare:

“Safety and quality are paramount in LEMAN’s Pharma division. Many of the products we transport are high-value and have the potential to save lives. Therefore, it is crucial that we always listen closely to our customers. In recent years, our customers have launched several new and exclusive products, requiring their suppliers to comply with the TAPA TSR-1 standard. To meet this requirement, we had to equip our trailers (which we lease from Krone fleet) with an electronic locking solution featuring a telematics system. In our search, we quickly arrived at your elektronic SBS locks with telematics.”

Elektronic SBS locks

“Currently, we have equipped one hundred trailers with your electronic SBS locks. These locks operate with a slam lock function. When the driver closes the doors, they automatically lock. Upon arrival at the destination, the doors can only be opened using a PIN code or tag. It is even possible to set up geofence zones and block tags or PIN codes. This adds an extra layer of security.”

Advantage of the SBS lock telematics system

“The main advantage of the SBS lock telematics system is that it utilizes the T Comm trailer telematics and tracking software. This allows us not only to manage the SBS locks but also to monitor other trailer data. For example, you can double-check the temperature in the cargo area, which is a common requirement for many pharmaceutical companies. Within the system, the planner can view all relevant information in one tailored dashboard. This makes it very easy to oversee!”

Collaboration between Imbema & T Comm

“LEMAN has recently collaborated with Imbema and T Comm to further develop this telematics system. You listened carefully to us and incorporated our ideas, allowing us to implement an optimized solution that could be integrated into our existing fleet afterward. This was carried out by two workshops from Krone Fleet: IPS and Scania.”
