Service & quality from door to door
Nickoot B.V. is a family business, specialised in the daily groupage of both fresh and frozen meat and other foodstuffs to and from France. The company has decades of experience in the conditioned transport of refrigerated and frozen products. Since 1980 Nickoot B.V. has been run by Henne and Bob Koot. With a fleet of 32 trucks and trailers, the company not only transports meat but also fish, ready meals, dairy products, vegetables and fruit from the Netherlands and Belgium to France. All transports are carried out in accordance with HACCP requirements. The trailers are fitted with euro meat hangers and partitions, so that frozen and fresh cargo can be transported together under optimum conditions. To optimally monitor all transport conditions, the trailers are equipped with real-time trailer monitoring from T Comm Telematics. The wireless temperature sensors in the various compartments accurately record the temperature in the loading areas so that the quality of the goods can be guaranteed.
Always insight into transport temperatures Henne and Bob Koot are jointly at the helm of Nickoot B.V. Henne Koot: “Our refrigerated trailers are equipped with separate compartments, each with its own transport temperature. The goods we transport in them are vulnerable; temperature fluctuations can jeopardise the quality of the goods, and that is something we absolutely want to avoid. That is why we measure the temperature in each compartment with wireless sensors. In addition, we monitor the door openings of each trailer, because a door that has been open too long can influence the temperature in the trailer. Insight into the temperatures and door openings ensures that we can guarantee the quality of our goods.”
